I have kids! Can they come along?
Our paint classes are fun for everyone, however we do have some age restrictions for certain classes. Whenever you click on the calendar you will see the age requirement for the session you have selected. Generally we will follow this schedule:

All daytime sessions (Saturday Family Paint) will be for all ages. Children must be accompanied with an adult. We don’t require adults paint, but we’d love it if you did! Walk-in Wednesdays are for the whole family. Our Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening sessions are ages 13 and up, with an accompanying adult, unless specified in the session details.

We are trusting you to know whether your child is ready to attend with you. If you think they are, feel free to bring them. Adult supervision is required – no drop offs under the age of 15.

I’d like to try this! What do I need to do?

Just look at our calendar of scheduled classes under the Calendar tab to pick out a class that will work for you, from there you can click through to the product, add it to your cart, and check out when desired! If you already have purchased a Gift Certificate, or other voucher, after entering your information, choose gift certificate as your form of payment and you will still be registered for the class. You may also pay at the door via cash or credit *– We recommend pre-purchase to guarantee your seat. Please note, Create N Sip requires that attendees be at least 13 years of age. Please check class description to see specific age requirements.

What if I have never painted before? Can I really do this?
That’s fine! Our artists know that some of the participants will be very experienced and that others will have zero experience. You will be able to follow along with the lesson, and by the end of the evening, you will be proud of your creation!
Will I get paint on my clothes?
Hopefully not! We provide aprons for all attendees to wear, but you might want to wear something easily washable just in case. Fair warning: acrylic paints can be tricky to remove.
What kind of paint will we use?

Create N Sip uses acrylic paints. It is an incredibly forgiving medium – it dries quickly and mistakes can usually be covered up pretty easily.

How big will my painting be?
The perfect size, because you choose! For canvas events, we use 16” x 20” canvases – big enough to paint something fun, small enough to fit easily in your car on the way home. We also have DIY Wood Workshops that include a variety of sizes. You can do something as small as 8″ Scrabble Tiles, or something large to place about your bed or couch. We even do kid size picnic tables occasionally! We are always adding to our options, so no matter what size you are looking for, we’re likely to have it.
What do I need to bring?

If you have already purchased your event ticket online, all you need to bring is yourself! You should get a confirmation email – (if you don’t check that spam folder) You do not need to bring any type of receipt – we have that information and can double-check it when you arrive. For Thurs/Fri/Sat evening classes, all attendees must be 13 or older. Also be sure to wear something comfortable, aprons are provided. We have a wide variety of beer, wine and soda at our bar. Anyone bringing or consuming alcoholic beverages must be 21 years of age. 

Can I bring my own wine or beer?

You may bring your own wine or beer to any of our public events, but we ask for a $5.00 corking fee per bottle of wine or six pack of beer. You must also declare your alcohol at check in and we will keep it at the bar and serve you.

For private events, you may purchase from our full on site bar.

If I bring wine, do I also need to bring wineglasses, an ice bucket, a corkscrew, napkins, etc, too?
There’s no need to bring those types of supplies! We provide glasses, a wine chiller to keep drinks cool, a corkscrew for wine drinkers, a bottle-opener for any beer aficionados, and paper cocktail napkins for you to use while you are here. We do ask that you check ALL alcoholic beverages at our bar. – We do so for safety of you and our other guests – Plus it helps keep the tables from getting crowded. * Corking fee of $5 per bottle of wine or six pack for all BYOB
What if I am a non-drinker?
Cheers to you! Please feel free to bring any beverage you like – sparkling cider, fancy lemonade, your favorite soft drink, anything that will help you celebrate your creative side. We also have soda, coffee, and water onsite. All participants are encouraged to be responsible while on and off the premises, and non-drinkers are certainly welcome.
Where should I park?

Joplin: We have our own parking lot across the street from the studio to the West as well as free off-street parking as well.

What time should I arrive?

Doors open 15 minutes before the event
What if I didn’t RSVP, can I still get a seat?
We strongly recommend pre-registration to ensure we have a seat and supplies for you. Walk-ins are accepted for both canvas and DIY events. For DIY events, you will be asked to choose from pre-cut designs, as no supplies can be prepared during the event.
I made a reservation, but something has come up. What is your cancellation policy?

Please call Create N Sip as soon as you know you can’t make it. While we don’t offer refunds, we are happy to reschedule you for a time that works for you within the next 90 days.

I would like to schedule a private party. Does Create N Sip host special events?
Absolutely! Please look under our “Book a Private Party With Us” tab for more information and for our inquiry form.
What does the DIY Workshop inlcude?
At our DIY events you will pre-register for a project and during the event you sand if necessary, choose your stain and paint colors and customize your piece to be your own! We have 50 shades of paint to choose from (Only 2 are gray!) Our instructors will guide you through the process.
I’m not sure which DIY design i want to do yet, can’t you cut it while I’m there? Or I changed my mind and want to change my design during the event, is that ok?
All designs must be chosen at least 24 hours in advance unless you choose from our file of pre-cut designs that we have available at the event. If you change your mind and you chose a standard design, we will allow you to change yours out for another design in our file of precut designs. If you chose a custom or personalized design and want to change, there will be a $15 change fee. We cannot cut during the event unless its due to an error on our part.
